SeriesFarm is an early stage ag fintech startup from Illinois focused on improving and expediting the ag financing process for farmers and lenders. Specifically, we are in the process of building a few key features:
- Personalized updates on various grants and programs a farmer might qualify for based on their demographics and interests
- Online FSA Beginner Farmer Loan Program application and general operating loan application with video and written application assistance
- Easier multi-lender accessibility with one modifiable application that can quickly be sent to multiple lenders

Alec Thompson
My name is Alec Thompson, and I have a passion for ag tech. For fun, I’m a senior studying Computer Engineering with a dual degree in Innovation, Leadership, and Engineering Entrepreneurship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Why do I care?
I think rural flight, an aging farm operator population, and a steady reduction in the number of farms is not a great direction we are currently headed. I believe making sure all farmers, especially beginners, can be competitive is vital for the future of farming and rural America.
